Juno Joy

I have always been intrigued by the idea of blogging. I love keeping a journal, so this will kind of be that for me. Only things that I actually want people to read!

I decided on my name Juno Joy Jewels as it will be whatever tidbits I want to write about. And Juno Joy is a nickname I got from my father, back when were very first got internet. I was so excited about the idea of email, and we had Juno, not AOL. I would wait anxiously for the computer to dial in, and get to check for new messages. I can still hear the sound it would make as it dialed in... Oh the anticipation! I loved it anytime there would be an email waiting for me. My middle name is Joy, so my dad dubbed me Juno Joy. My how far it has come since those dial up days of the late nineties! I have enjoyed each and every stage! 
The ways we can reach each other and easily communicate is something that fascinates me, and I will never take it for granted how fast and easy it is now! No more dial up internet. No more getting kicked off when the phone would ring. No more days of sitting at the computer on MSN Instant Messenger, talking with friends. What I like to call old school texting. That was always so fun when a friend would sign in. And even better that many conversations could go at once! 
To this day I still get excited over any real message. Only now those usually come to my phone via text message. But the thrill is still the same. :)
